Dr. Marin Dawson

Dr. Marin Dawson joined Acadiana Pediatrics on June 18, 2012. Born in Lake Charles, having lived her formative years in Rayne, Marin graduated from the Academy of the Sacred Heart in Grand Coteau, Louisiana in 1996.

She began her journey into the field of medicine with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Millsaps College in Jackson, Mississippi. She was accepted into medical school at Nova Southeastern College of Osteopathic Medicine in Ft. Lauderdale in 2000. Following her graduation from medical school, she entered the Pediatrics Residency program at Arnold Palmer Children's Hospital in Orlando. After two years in Orlando, she gained more valuable experience in the Pediatrics Residency program at Children's Hospital in New Orleans.

As a board certified member of both the American Osteopathic Board of Pediatrics and the American Board of Pediatrics, Dr. Dawson (known to her patients as Dr. Marin) will provide area families with newborn and general care for infants through adolescence as well as care for special needs children. Acadiana Pediatrics has nursery and inpatient privileges at Women's and Children's Hospital in Lafayette and the Acadia General Hospital in Crowley.

Dr. Dawson is the proud mother of Kaylin, Liam and Adalyn Caswell.
